Do any of these situations sound familiar?

You often have to repeat yourself

You can express everything in terms of content but are not always understood right away. We work specifically on the sounds and patterns that affect intelligibility the most.

Certain sounds are difficult

Sounds like "ch", "r", the umlauts "ö/ü", or certain consonant clusters are demanding in German. We practise forming them systematically and audibly.

Stress & melody sound off

Often it is not the single sound but word stress, sentence melody, and rhythm that decide how "German" something sounds. This is exactly where prosody work begins.

Insecurity when speaking

The worry of not being understood holds you back at work and in daily life. As your pronunciation improves audibly, your confidence in speaking grows too.

What we work on in pronunciation training

Articulation & phonetics

We analyse which vowels and consonants affect intelligibility and practise forming them correctly, in a targeted and audible way.

Sounds

Word & sentence stress

In German, stress carries a lot of meaning. You learn to stress syllables and parts of sentences so your statements sound clear and natural.

Stress

Intonation & melody

Through sentence melody (prosody) you signal questions, statements, and emphasis. Fitting intonation makes your German sound fluent and confident.

Melody

Rhythm & intelligibility

We combine all building blocks in connected speech so you are understood effortlessly in daily life, at work, and in presentations.

My approach

Pronunciation with speech-science precision

My pronunciation training is not a classic German course focused on grammar but a targeted training of spoken language on a phonetic basis. As a speech scientist with a master's degree and a Goethe Certificate (DaF), I hear precisely which sound and prosody patterns affect your intelligibility, and I work on them with you systematically. I include grammar where it supports your speaking. An accent is not a weakness: the goal is good intelligibility, not erasing your origin. The training is suitable from around level B1.

Common questions about pronunciation training

From which language level does pronunciation training make sense?

Usually from around level B1. By then there is enough linguistic foundation to work specifically on articulation, stress, and intonation. In the introductory call we assess together whether the timing fits.

How is this different from a German course?

A German course mainly teaches vocabulary and grammar. Pronunciation training works at spoken language: articulation, word stress, intonation, and rhythm. It complements a language course ideally but does not replace it.

Can I lose my accent completely?

The goal is good intelligibility, not "accent-free" speech at any cost. Many learners reduce their accent noticeably and speak more clearly and confidently. How far this goes depends on many factors. An accent is not a weakness but part of your language biography.

Does pronunciation training take place in Dresden or online?

Both are possible. You can train in person in Dresden or online, across Germany and internationally, with the same quality and individual support.
